The Heineken Hoek has been a much-beloved staple at the corner of the Leidseplein since the late 1950s, known to all for its beer glasses billboard on the roof of the building. Locals and visitors to Amsterdam knew their way to this iconic café — a friendly place where everyone got to kick back and enjoy a beer, or two.
