About
The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is a leading museum of modern and contemporary art and design. Founded in 1874, the museum is located on Museumplein, near the Rijksmuseum. The collection comprises over 100,000 objects and provides an overview of major art and design movements from the late 19th century to the present. Represented movements include De Stijl, Bauhaus, CoBrA, and Pop Art. In addition to painting and visual arts, the collection also includes photography, graphic design, and industrial design.
